India

India is a country located in South Asia and is the seventh largest country by area and the second most populous country in the world. It is bordered by Pakistan to the west, China and Nepal to the north, Bhutan to the northeast, and Bangladesh and Myanmar to the east. To the south of India is the Indian Ocean.

India has a rich history and diverse culture, with a legacy of ancient civilizations and a mixture of different religions and traditions. It is known for its ancient architectural marvels such as the Taj Mahal, historic forts, and temples. India is also the birthplace of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism.

India gained independence from the British Empire in 1947 and became a republic in 1950. Today, it is a federal parliamentary democratic republic with a President, Vice President, and Prime Minister. The country has a mixed economy and is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world, with major contributions from agriculture, manufacturing, and services sectors.

India is also known for its diverse wildlife, with more than 90 national parks and wildlife sanctuaries home to a variety of species, including Bengal tigers, Asian elephants, and Indian rhinoceroses.
